A whole lot of game day maybe’s
Sidney Crosby sat out Thursdays practice with “flu like symptoms”. Ruslan Fedotenko practiced and is a good bet to replace Minard, or Crosby if?he is still ill.? Gonchar made the trip and is expected to play, look for him most likely to replace Gill or Eaton.?
Also get a good look at Nik Antropov because you may be getting a better look at him soon.? Here’s hoping Whitney has a really good game.?Toronto has the leagues worst 3.62 goals against and Thomas Kaberle is most likely out for another month with a broken hand.? Toronto is in need of a defenseman that can bring the puck up the ice.

TIM WHARNSBY in today’s TO Globe and Mail is hinting that the firing of Therrien scuttled a possible trade between the Pens and Toronto Maple Leafs. Brian Burke denied he has been talking to the Penguins about shipping out forward Nik Antropov. But others are saying the deal was close to going down. One of the rumors was that Antropov to the Penguins for Ryan Whitney. Yet another was a first-round selection and Goligoski. The other was that if the Penguins got Antropov that Antropov would become part of a package with Whitney for Kovalchuk and Armstrong.
