One would think that the penalties called against the Fly$ is due more to their belief in dressing idiots like Cote, Carcillo, Asham and Hartnell than Bettman conspiricy. All Flyer fans know that there is no way possible that the Biron/Niittymaki tandem can stand up to the Penguins attack, so they are making the excuses early. The best thing that Flyer fans could hope for is an end to Bob Clarke’s reign. Maybe then they will be able to join the new age NHL.

The newest Fly`s excuse claims, the league tells the refs that anytime Sid goes down on the ice, the refs are to call a penalty. He said that if that happens, the Fly`s won`t win this series.
So, the Fly`s won`t win the series. Like it`s our fault we`re Bettmans favorites team. The nerve of some of these Flyer fans.

I was reading a Philadelphia paper this morning and they are already making the same excuses as last season. Last year it was Timonen and Coburn and now comes the first hint that although Timonen and Coburn are okay, the defense in front of Biron is just average. The complaint is they were never able to acquire a physical, clear-the-crease defenseman. HELLO – can you say $8 million for Briere! But here comes the first of the excuses: Randy Jones has a bad hip and Ryan Parent a groin injury.

Taking a closer look at the Penguins and their experience (although New Jersey and the Rangers have age)the Pens have the experience of of going to finals and the addition of Guerin, Boucher, and Kunitz….. and even Satan returning they have a group that is no longer considered green when it comes to playoffs. These kids are vets.

Great Game….Very entertaing to watch….Two short handed Goals on the same PK….amazing….Looked like the playoffs started in this game, alot more physical than one would expect….Penguin players have now won 9 of the last 14 Art Ross Trophy’s……WooHoo….Lets Go Rangers

Well, it`s all said and done. The Penguins went to Montreal and defeated them with our own Quebecers, Dupuis to Talbot and then Letang, on two shorthanded goals on the same power play. It doesn`t get any better than this as we go into the playoff`s on another strong gaoltending and defensive game. CONGRATULATIONS to GENO on winning the Art Ross and keeping the tradition in the Penguins organization. It`s been a real trip to get this far and we will will know after the Fly`s – Rangers game who get1`s home ice. What a way to start the playoff`s, I`m liking it better all the time. LET`S GO PENS.

Carolina lost, Philadelphia won. If the Penguins win we play Philadelphia. If we lose we play New Jersey. We do not have home ice advantage either way. I would rather play the Devils.
