Quite the game that Montreal put up considering that Kovalev was left home for some goofy reason? and Montreal?s La Presse/RDS.ca reports a LINK of the Kostitsyn Bros. to ALLEGED mobster Pasquale Mangiola. Even Roman Hamrlik is implicated in the story to also have ties to the ALLEGED mobster.
One of the rules at PenguinPOOP is that we will write anything at all about our opinions about a player’s performance on the ice, but never get involved about a player?s personal life. However, this is a bit of an exception because La Presse/RDS.ca questioned Andrei Kostitsyn about his relationship with Mangiola right after the Pens MOBBED the HABS in the IGLOO last night.
What?s really true or false in this story who knows? no arrests were made so maybe this isn?t as bad as it looks? but the Kovalev thing combined with the Kotitsyn Bros. and Hamrlik while it certainly doesn?t do the NHL hockey world any good, for sure, it comes at the right time for our Flightless Birdies who need any advantage they can get for teams to fall from that top-8.

is full of organized crime, and a lot of the mobsters run popular night clubs like in Vegas and Atlantic City. The players have no way of knowing just how many of the popular night clubs are owned and run by the Mob so I think this might not be as bad as the Jose Theodore and his father who was a loan shark at afew of these clubs.

Dr. Hook, Do you remember when Kasperaites was linked to the Russian Mob about 6 years ago?…This is another bunch of Crap by an insignifacent source trying to make some money…There is a reason why they are French..

This whole thing is just a little fishy, Kovalev being sat? I’m willing to bet that he has something to do with this. Maybe there’s a hit out on Kovi from the mob or on top the other drugs the russians were dishing out, maybe some performance enhancers, and the Canadiens are giving Kovalev a few days to wash them out of his system. I wouldn’t be suprised if the past Malkin & Ovechkin fued is tied around this also, strange how their fued all got patched up in Montreal!
