I think Satan can play if he wants to, and he knows that he needs to play well now if he wants to sign a contract next year. Did you see him those last few games when he finally figured out his career was on the line. 2 goals and an assist in the last 3 games getting 8-11 minutes of icetime per game.

I’m just saying if we need him, let’s say a few major injuries happen, I would actually like to have him play over anyone else in our system. The playoffs is not a time to try a Caputi or Pesonen. He’s a little slow, and I don’t mean skating, but once he figures it out…

You are posting this like having Satan picked up by someone else would be really bad thing. Do you think some team fears Satan enough to want to pay him not to play for us? Seems like a stretch.

Talk about a Weird thing! If Satan is recalled from WBS, he would have to clear re-entry waivers. This puts the Penguins at risk of losing him for the rest of the season if someone will pay 1/2 of his 3.5 million salary. According to the many waiver rules the way I understand them, the team would have to be lower in the standings than the Penguins are.

Satan would not be able to play in the playoffs for another team because he was not picked up before the deadline, yet if the Penguins recall him before the playoffs, another team could pick him up and play him until the end of the season.

Now here is the really weird thing, I did not see a rule that would not allow this. I believe that during the playoffs if the Penguins try to recall Satan, another team could pick him up and just not play him the rest of the season. Maybe a team that we are playing. They could basically pay half of his salary just so we could not use him.

I’m going to have to look into this more.
