This is all critical and the scheduling doesn’t help either. According to The Hockey News… out of the remaining teams ahead of the penguins the strength of schedule from easiest schedule to hardest is like this: Boston, Washington, Florida, Carolina, New jersey, Buffalo, NY Rangers, Philadelphia and the PENS with the toughest remaining schedule. Based on a lot of factors such as home vs. road and number of goals and points per game average. It’s going to be a tough road ahead and hopefully we don’t wear-out like the Capitals did last season laying it all on the table before the playoffs begin.
The keys are that both Montreal and Florida face schedules that could ensure a playoff spot for them and that doesn’t leave a whole lot of spots open.
