The Championship game was a pretty good one and the majority Saskatoon fans showed a lot of class staying and applauding a good game. Yet, with the development of players who are entering the NHL earlier every year along with the NHL looking the other way Canada didn’t have players such as Tavares and Duchene which might have made a difference. Like Carlson did.
It’s still an good look at the prospects but not as good as it used to be because the better players are in the NHL already. Times are a changing.
The USA’s NDTP has a lot to do with the US playing more like a team. A “little-bit” like the Lake Placid Olympic team.
While Taylor has been on the top of many lists don’t be “too” sure that he will be the first overall pick. Based on expectations he might have been the most dissapointing player in the tournament and those early ISS ratings don’t always translate into the #1 overall pick.

That overtime goal was awsome – Carlson never looked at the net, it was a no look shot. incredible!
