Malkin is on Board for the Penguins

I just talked to a media relations director with the Penguins and you will never believe what he told me.   He had a conversation with Malkin around the time that my post ‘Is It Time to Consider Trading Malkin?’ hit the internet.  Geno told him that after reading it, he realized he was not playing up to potential and was letting the fans down.  He knew that he had to get his act together so that he could remain a Penguin.  Funny thing — that was the purpose of writing it in the first place.  I knew that PenguinPoop.com is his favorite blog, and that he reads anything posted by STH35.  So mission accomplished.  Geno is now on board and the Penguins are a better team.  You’re welcome!!!

I did appreciate all the comments made on my post.  I found it interesting that they ranged from me being an idiot to the Ducks wouldn’t consider making that trade.    That’s the real view from 207!!

Note — If the Penguins have an idea what is really up with Staal’s recovery, the fans deserve to know.

Note — A big part of the Penguins’ success is the ability of so many players to adapt to so many different roles.  Changing lines, changing positions, and the ball just keeps on rolling.

Note — After watching the first episode of 24/7 I would be ashamed of myself if barbecue sauce-face Bruce Boudreau was in my employ.  However Ted Leonsis is also an ass and doesn’t recognize an ass when he sees one.

Note — 24/7 has also shown the value of the Penguin coaching staff and how differently they reacted to the tough start the Penguins had this season.

    1. Could someone then please start taking all of the guys I have on my fantasy team to task, please????

  1. Just watched episode 1 of the HBO special online yesterday. It was really interesting to watch. I hope they have more “in game” sounds and conversations between players. I love the behind the scenes stuff.

  2. I just assumed that we would be debating all of New Years eve at Champ Kinds party and New Years day at the big PenguinPoop tailgate about you thinking we should trade Malkin. I’m just going to put yet another win in my win column.

Penguin fans for the most part are devoted to the players on the team. Similar as to how you were upset at the fans booing Gonchar when he came back to town.

PS: Isn’t PenguinPoop everyone’s favorite blog?

    1. Again, I never said that I wanted to trade Malkin. I just posed the question. What win column do you have to put anything in.

  3. No mention of Geno’s new choppers anywhere? He went from looking like “jaws” from the Bond film to looking like…well…his mother.
