Pens Lose to Montreal as Series Goes to Game 7

The Pens got outworked in this game.  It was almost as if they thought they had already won this game.  Montreal played with the desperation of a team that was facing elimination, the Pens played like they didn’t need to try and win each and every battle. For that, they get to come home and try and win this series in the seventh game.

You just can’t make a bad mistake against the Canadiens.  They are very opportunistic and make the most of each chance they are given.  They don’t generate a lot of good scoring chances, so you can’t hand them opportunities by making bad plays in your own zone or the neutral zone.

Now let’s see how the Pens play as they will be forced to play with desperation.

why not state the obvious?if malkin crosby and fleury had allowed the pens to afford gill and scuderi-they would still have a playoff defense!

I want to know why when the puck hits jerkov (41) they blow the whistle so quick even it’s NOT EVEN COVERED and when fleury has the puck covered it takes the zebra’s 8 seconds to blow the play dead all the while there hacking at his pads

Don’t forget – Marc-Andre Fleury’s ability to bounce back after a loss. The stats seem to bear this out in the postseason, as Fleury is 4-0 and has a 1.21 GAA with a .951 SV% following a loss.

    Reg,

I have to respectfully disagree with you. I thought we outplayed them up until we scored on the one power play. We were doing everything we needed to do. Got chances. Were making plays. Halak looked shaken.

Then all of a sudden the switch went off and it looked like we were hypnotized by them. That is where I respectfully agree with you.

Although game sevens are anybody’s game, I think the Pens have what it takes to beat them, they just need to play sixty minutes.

    GO PENZ!
