Kunitz-Crosby-Malkin A new Super first line
Tangradi-Staal-Guerin A Bigline with high scoring potential
Cooke-Talbot-Kennedy A very good checking line
Rupp-Adams-Dupuis A line with size and speed

    Eaton-Letang
    Goligoski-Leopold
    Lovejoy-Brooks A shutdown defensive pair

    Fleury
    Johnson

Put Crosby together with Malkin, we never had this kind of super duo since Lemieux-Jagr. I think Staal looks like a future Ron Francis, a star center with both offensiv and defensive skill.
We need 2 big lines, not 3. Our checking line look almost the same like last year, only that Talbot get bigger minutes. Staal is ready for more ice-time, especially on PP. We need a first defensmen in our line up. I think we gonna lose Gonchar.
What do you think about the lineup??

let gonchar, and fedotenko go, call up lovejoy, and try to go after ray whitney, hed be good with malkin or crosby, hes an elite winger and hes not that pricey.

I don’t think that Feds will be sticking around after the playoffs are over. We’ve been fairing pretty well without him the past few games, he needs to up his playing a lot if they put him back in the lineup to prove he should stay in Pitts. I bet that Shero re-signs all the rest of the UFA’s. Wish we could pick up Iginila from the Flames. Could you imagine a Iginla-Cros-Kunitz line? hmm.. That would make for some good hockey.

Fleury is terrible and is killing the Pens cap space. He is statistically the 3rd worst starting goalie in the league this year, and for those who say he’s won a cup. I say we have won the cup in spite of him, not because of him. He’s definitely not worth $5 million a year. Also, the Pens are losing Gonchar most likely after this year, so they would be better off with an average goalie like Johnson who put up nearly identical Save% and GAA numbers as Fluery for $5 million less dollars! We could afford to pay Gonchar and pick up another scoring winger if we didn’t have to pay Fluery $5 million a year to be an a below average goalie who gives up at least one soft goal a night, and can’t finish in the top 30 in any statistical categories. I think the Pens have done a great job with personnel over the years, but what were they thinking locking this bum up for multiple years!

With Ruslan, Billy, Alexi, Eaton, Cooke, Gonchar all possibly gone for next year the Pen's have around $14Mill, re sign Letang long term, still some could cap room for a higher end forward. Tangradi should be up along with Dustin Jeffrey playing wing, Lovejoy filling a spot on blueline, maybe re-sign Jordan? There will be a few “higher “end forwards coming up July1.

The Penguins according to my notes have pretty close to $1.7 million left in cap space. A suggestion: The UFA/RFA designation would be eaiser to read if you kept their colors coordinated through-out the spreadsheet.
Johnson signed for $525k – and I think that still leaves us approx. $1.7 million under.

Kunitz, Eaton , I love Gill but he is too slow all gotta go
Try and keep Ruslan, Billy, Scuderi have keep Mr. 5 on 3
Should try and package first two and next years first rounder for another winger for Sid, next years draft not very good.

If it wasn’t for Gill clearing in front of the net during penalty kills with Washington and Philly, I don’t think we end up playing Detroit. Try to keep the D intact.

I would be surprised if we see Guerin or Satan next year, Sykora is a big maybe, Sid talked to him for a long time while they were celebrating the cup, I bet he was telling him he should stay.

Feds and ziggy are two that I bet Shero is working on, Guerin would have to come in at about 1/2 or less than what he’s getting this year.
