  1. the lines for next year neal/crosby/kennedy staal/malkin/adams kunitz/letestu/jeffrey cooke/sullivan/asham letang/orpik martin/michalek niskanen/engelland

  2. Lines for next year….

    Neal-Crosby-
    Staal-Malkin-Kunitz
    Cooke-Letestu/Talbot-Kennedy/Dupuis
    Tangradi-Rupp-?/N.Johnson

  3. Maybe it was just me but in the games against Tampa, there were a couple of guys give a full effort every shift-
    Fleury
    Talbot
    Staal
    Neal
    Orpik,Letang
Ray needs to quit bring in these players that wait for other guys to do the work and just watch the game

    1. No way idiot! Even if the Pens beat Tampa in 7 they would not have come anywhere near the cup. Yes, they had a great season, but playoff hockey does not have an overtime shootout. Don’t forget, they lost in 7 last year WITH Crosby and Malkin.

  4. Pen’s have around 58 Mill committed cap will be 63-65mill
    Kennedy gets a raise
    Keep-Talbot 2-3 yrs. 1.3 mill
    -Rupp 2yrs. 800,000
Honestly get rid of Kunitz, go after a scoring winger
    Neal-Crosby-F.A.
    Talbot-Malkin-Tangradi
    Cooke-Staal-Kennedy
    Jeffrey-Lesteu-Rupp

    1. Talbot 1.3mil for 8 goals 21 pts? And you want to get rid of Kunitz who had 23 goals 48 pts in playing 16 less games than Talbot???

      1. Yeah Kunitz cap hit 4 Mill at 32 yrs., he played good with Crosby , but didn’t do a thing after he was hurt and nothing in the playoffs, Talbot is a heart and soul guy.
Ray can take some of Kunitz money go after a younger winger

  5. Lines next year:

    Neal-Crosby-Jeffrey
    Staal-Malkin-Kunitz
    Cooke-Letestu-Kennedy
    Adams-Rupp-Asham

I have a feeling Talbo isn’t going to take less money. It would be great if he did though. Jeffrey had the same numbers as Dupuis if he played the full season. Dupuis was on Crosby’s line. Put Jeffrey there I bet the numbers get way better.

  6. I would keep Kovalev and Comrie. Sorry, just a little after season humor. I would keep Rupp, Adams, Conner and Kennedy.

  7. I expect to see a bunch of moves. Nothing major. I was dissapointed in Jordan Staal. This was his big chance to prove himself without Crosby or Malkin in the lineup. He is still young though.

It looks like Shero for the most part has the main part of the lineup signed. I wouldn’t be surprised to see a bunch of guys signed in the next few days. Kennedy and Jeffrey for sure. If we keep the right guys and have a healthy team next year I see great things happenening. The Pens were first overall in the NHL for a while this year.

  8. Some tough choices to be made concerning free agents. They have to sign Kennedy. I hope they can sign Mike Rupp and Craig Adams. Kovy and Comrie are gone. Dupuis, Talbot, Godard are question marks. I don’t think Asham was the player he has been in the past, so he may be gone. I’m looking forward to next year!

    1. I don’t think Godard is a question mark. I’m a big fan of his fighting and team spirit. By Bylsma didn’t play him when he was healthy, why would they try to sign him?

  9. There is no way the Pens sign Kovi, Godard or Comrie. They are all fine players, just don’t fit the mix.

Dupuis, Rupp, Kennedy and Jeffrey should be made good offers. Talbot at a discount.

I like the way Adams plays, I would only sign him to a one year deal. Asham should get a better look. That is if he still wants to play for the Pens.
