It hasn’t been announced, but most likely a Saturday home game unless there is scheduling conflict.

I am glad to have home ice again in the second round although we went 1 and 2 at the igloo in round 1. I think the players are more focused when they are on the road. I dont think the Bruins or the Canadiens would be able to keep up in round 2 in either building.

So basically, as a Pens fan, we want Montreal to beat Wash and Buffalo to beat Boston. I for one would rather see Rask move on than Miller, but my Pens are definitely my first priority -S

That would be great, but if the Capitals win I would probably rather face the Bruins.

A few of you have seemed to have lost it. While I’d love to see Ovechkin run . . . the way he ran Malkin. It’s really dumb to make someone who scored 219 goals in his first 4 years as not very good. Personally I think the guy is a tad creepy. Creepy looking and acts the fool. On the ice his coach lets him play anyway he wants. His previous coach took his situation to the Washington Post along with George McPhee and Olaf Kolzig all saying he lacked GRIT and defensive responsiblity. So whether any Capitals fan will admit it, or not . . . he hasn’t been handed the “C” for a reason. Is he more valuable than Malkin OR Crosby? Not in my book. Like I said, this guy is a bit too creepy and appears all in it for Ovechkin. Dr Hook said he’d sign as a Globetrotter but I say watch for him on Celebrity Apprentice next season!
    Let’s go Rangers!

We would also need a 1 round draft pick, the Capitals to pay some of Ovechkins salary, and an on call Psychiatrist or no deal.

If Eaton keeps scoring goals maybe we can trade him for AO straight up to help with the Caps scoring deficiency. =)

Hey, if the Caps lose tonight, then Eaton has a great chance of ending up with more goals in the playoffs than AO.

    19 Mark Eaton, PIT D 6 2 0 2

You’re right Jesselvis, Ovechkin must have snuck one in there during game 6 when the caps put up 5. They were tied before that though, who would’ve seen that coming? Is your name a combination of Jesse and Elvis? Is that a dumb question?

    Go Pens!

    To: Got Malkin,

Nice job trying to keep the peace. Some guys seem to be trying too hard to create controversy.
Kinda like Danny Carcillo did. By the way sorry to hear about the closed 5 hole. You should probably get that checked.

My gut is that we’ll see the Caps next and thats all good with me.

    More pick on Malore day:

There is something to be said about the easier root to the Stanley Cup. Players get tired and injured as the playoffs progress. Why would someone want to go through the first or second seed?

I think the Gypsy thing is a poll that Dr Hook had a few weeks agao – I stopped looking because the scoring system was stupid. I think boombastic made a comment on his post about it.

I don’t get the gypsy thing either and I agree with jesslvis that Malore is a closet ovechkin fan. I also noticed that he never denied being Stealth. :)

Either way, go Rangers, I’d love to see the “craps” get knocked out first round, and I definitely don’t want to like stevo said listed to the announcers slobber all over ovechkin, they are bad enough as it is.

Is there a day when it’s not pick on Malore day? Unfortunatly I don’t think Eaton was ever tied or better than Ovechkin in goals in the playoffs.

I don’t have a clue what Malore’s gypsy thing is all about either, but he seems to be stuck on it. It probably from the Capitals board he belongs to! LOL!

    Go Rangers!

Pens fans bickering. Not what I like to see. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but this is the time of the year to high-five one another, not accuse each other of secret man-dates with Ovechkin. I say to be the best you have to beat the best. The pens match up well against all the teams left in the east, and each would provide a crazy/awesome/intense atmosphere to watch and scream about, which is fun for me to do by myself in an nyc bar. I will take whoever comes our way with open arms and a closed 5-hole.

On a side note, I hear Mark Eaton is tied with Ovechkin for goals in this years playoffs, meanwhile Malkin leads the league in playoff points, so put that in your MVP pipe and smoke it.

    Go Pens!
    Got Malkin?

It doesn’t matter who you go with kid. Stick around and read more—- you know, go into the LURK MODE and learn the game before you let your fingers do the walking on the keyboard. (Just a suggestion) There are some decent posters here. I know that you probably are harmless but that’s two of you kids who think Ovechkin is a lousy hockey player. That is a very unique position you’ve got there.
As being called-out by Penguin871 it won’t be the first time or last time I’m called-out. Especially by some wet behind the ears kiddos who may have just got off their school bus. It’s up to you—- possibly you don’t want a little education getting in the way of your postings, eh. BTW, you entered the GYPSY PREDICTIONS——– GOT POINTS?
    I don’t think so.

Malore or I mean Stealth – I gotta go with RBuckle on this one, you sound like a Capital fan, Penguin871 called you out on it in Dr Hooks “AO Isn’t Better Than Crosby or Malkin…” post – I think your “Stealth” why don’t you just admit it. I don’t know what your gypsy crap is but I bet Ovechkin likes gypsy’s. You should try to hook up with him.

    @ Phatty RBuckle
Don’t get your silk panties all worked up in a bunch there, Phatty.

    (1) The Gypsy Contest you entered it also and really aren’t doing too well at predicting the games. I see you are hugging pretty close to last place.

    (2) They’ve out scored us 18 -12??? What’s that mean other than you seem afraid of them. Best team usually wins the CUP.

    (3) Why wouldn’t I want them gone? I’m assuming you mean the Rangers winning the series. Well, I think if you have the best team it doesn’t matter who you play. Do you enjoy watching exciting, super hockey or just the winning part?

    (4) So you think the NHL is doing everything possible fix the games? LOL. Why would anyone who believes that ever watch.

    (5) As for Tortorella—– he lost his cool and couldn’t handle fans jeering him. He squirted the water bottle and then threw it hitting some lady who had nothing to do with anything except there to have a good time. I don’t condone spitting, throwing objects into and onto the bench, and that goes for any excessive profanity directed at anybody. No matter, that doesn’t excuse Tortorella squirting water and then throwing a water bottle at fans that have been heckling him all game.

    (6) As for the penalties called—- you must have nodded-off because other than the calls on Erskine and Backstrom which created the Rangers 5 on 3—- I thought the game was called about as well as most others. Even those were technically penalties and therefore by the rules should be called. Which ones did you have a problem with? Of course, if you think the game is being fixed by the NHL I can relate to your viewpoint. I just don’t think the NHL fixes games. I couyld be wrong about that. Maybe they do!

No way I want to play the Craps. They beat us several times this year and I dont want to hear all of the announcers on TV slob all over AO and Semin. and also their supposed rivalry with Malkin and Crosby. My order is

    Canes
    Devils
    Caps
    Bruins

Malore???? you want to play a team just to see what we can do? and who the hell cares about national TV and whatever the gypsy thing your talking about. can you see that they’ve out scored us 18-12? Why wouldn’t you just want them gone? I think secretly your an Ovechkin lover.

I’m sure the NHL is doing everything they can do to keep the Ovechkin’s in it. They benched the coach after a fan spit on him. And all of those caps penalties came after the Rangers were losing five to nothing, just to keep the Rangers from complaining.

Philadelphia got the taste of what a Crosby, Malkin, Staal coming at you shift after shift after shift does to a below average defense. They wore down Timonen and Colburn. If I’d had to pick a team I’d like to get the Capitals and see what that defense can do against us. Plus the extra added attraction of Ovechkin and Crosby/Malkin would be a made for national TV broadcasts. The drawback to that would be seeing both McGuire and Milbury to the point I’d vomit. Pothier, Poti, Green, Morrisonn, Jurcina, but especially Erskine I don’t believe can keep up without taking penalties. Throw Semin into that mix who is super offensively but also takes foolish penalties. They took 10 against the Rangers yesterday. That combined with a couple old players who are almost at the bottom of their downhill slide of their NHL career and a rookie goalie who isn’t being tested by the Rags and a mental-midget Brashear (he should have been tossed for that behind the back elbow on Betts)—— that’s my favorite out of the four left. No matter who we play we’ve got two more series to win until we beat Hossa’s team! That’s how I see it and I command a little respect for leading the Gypsy Contest (right?). LMAO.

This is the order that I’m rooting for:

    Devils
    Canes
    Bruins
    Caps

It would be best if the Caps just lost tomorrow, but I think that playing the Capitals would be as emotional series similar to the Flyer one. If the Penguins came out on top of that, I think they would be in an emotional mind fram to win the cup.

On the bright side, I think we tear up the Caps goaltenders, it would be Fluerys series to win or loose.

I don’t see another team that would cause problems for us.
