No way am I eager to sub for Phil Krundle’s GAME DAY POOP…  but there is a rumor going around that he is golfing in Myrtle  Beach.

Isn’t that in Carolina? Golfing???? Geez… our Flightless Birdies were in a

Just me and the guys

critical game (in Carolina) and “Landfill”     Krundle was chasing a white ball around (with a bunch of guys?)… I’ve seen him play before and believe me – he’s no Pierre Larouche.

For more ACTION Golf shots like this…

The Florida Panthers ‘substitute’ POOP in a five o’clocker is like this…

  • The Panthers have to win out… it’s as simple as that.
  • They are fighting for that last playoff spot which all of a sudden looks like  the NY RAGS don’t want it.
  • Will the Panthers take four in a row or will the Pens slam the door in their face.
  • Will their coach, Pete DeBoer shadow Crosby like Paul Marice who had both Joe Corvo and Tim Gleason did all night? BTW, did anyone pick-up on how many times Steigerwald called Corvo… Cuervo.
  • The only thing better than awin would be if they would dress Tom Fitzgerald and he scored the winning goal, eh.
  • DeBoer, is still tinkering with the lines… there but for the grace of God it could be us.
  • Malkin, Crosby, Gonchar, and Orpik were MINUS 2’s last night… Jordan Staal was a PLUS 2. So much for the chase of the MVP, eh. Unless it’s turned up a notch this afternoon.
  • It all gets down to this – the Panthers win and they tie for the 8th and final spot if our Flightless Birdies win we punch our ticket for the third straight playoff run.
  • Bryan McCabe said after the loss to Atlanta on Friday, “”We have four left. We have to win out. I don’t think we played that bad. We just couldn’t put the puck in the net. What can you do?” Well Bryan, why not send an e-mail to our buddy “Landfill” Krundle maybe he can get you fixed-up for a tee-time…
Krundle get's an assist
Krundle get's an assist

Until then – (McCabe) can you YINZ Panther’s say, “FORE!”

Let’s GO PENS!

  1. With all the positioning the Pens supposedly do, you might want to look at them like a thouroughbred race horse with the ability to come from behind with a great closing kick. We can tank if we want to and we can win if we want to. We`re just that damn good! I`m here for the playoff`s and Woo Hoo Train. LET`S GO PENS!

  2. Da Cheez says: “looks like we may get the sparC, (wait, I can say Craps here) that’s is if we don’t position ourselves for someone else.
We are the only ones that do that right?”

The only ones I know with a proven track record of tanking games not only for better draft position, but also to avoid certain teams in the first round… 😉

  3. I been pretty busy myself . . . looks like we may get the sparC, (wait, I can say Craps here) that’s is if we don’t position ourselves for someone else.
We are the only ones that do that right?

  4. By Kutdacheez, JLPens . . . are you out there?

I’m here now. Made a wrong turn and ended up in Texas over the weekend. So this is where we bring the beer eh? It’s here now just in time for the deadbolts. Enjoy…..

  5. I think DAn should put Garon and Boucher in the lineup against Tampa, take out Letang

  6. I was trying to figure out why the FLY$ are in 4th place but also haven’t officially locked up a playoff spot and yet the CANES now sitting in 5th place already have. Strange, isn’t it. But as the NHL dunces will have set the rules the first tie breaker is fewest games played. YIKES, get me a beer.

  7. Just once I’d like to see someone like Potash ask a direct question. The ones we all would like to ask instead of those softies. How about to Crosby: “Sid, do you think that shot to Malkin was a cheap shot?” People make fun of his PC responses but really – as the damn questions like you are a real reporter!

  8. This looks to be the first time that Blysma sees a little bit of a scare. I would think his contract depends on the Pens making the playoffs. Tampa gives us fits and the New York Islanders have a history of making it tough. If Blysma doesn’t get by either of those two we could be setup playing Montreal for the 8th and last playoff position. Not the way management would like to see it happening. Hopefully Geno isn’t going into a disappearing act like at the end of last season and these guys GET R DUN on Tuesday night.

  9. @ Kutdacheez

Disco DAN now, eh. LOL Kutda, I think alot of it has to do with the NHL scehduling. In hindsight, Garon, Boucher, and Godard (if they were tired) would have been abetter move.
Yeo screwing with a PP that looked to get it’s chances the night before – what’s up with that.

  10. @ malore
I’m assuming the Godard reference is about Ballard’s check on Malkin? If so, all I can say is that if it was Darius Kasparaitis delivering that hit we’d all be jumping out of our seats. IMO it was a good check. Crosby going after him was part of the territory so I don’t have a problem with that either.

  11. Arguably, the Fedotenko – Staal – Kennedy line has been the best line prior to the game yesterday. They got two really nice ones in the Carolina game. So what is the deal with putting a (playing with Satan) with them? Lots of juggling. Why screw with something that isn’t broke.

  12. When we question teams located in the South did anyone notice how many fans were disguised as gray seats. I didn’t look at the official attendance but here is a team fighting for a playoff spot and the no-shows, no purchases seemed very high to me. Plus, doesn’t the female announcer give more the feeling that you are at an airport than a hockey game.

  13. These guys looked dead tired after the first period. Pure hindsight but it might have been a time not to scratch Godard. I’d dress him when they go against the loose caboose Evgeny Artyukhin tomorrow.

  14. Two losses in a row aren’t anything to get too worked up about as STUFF HAPPENS. But watching Yeo change a PP that started to look good and Disco Dan changing lines like a second coming of Coach Mike??? What’s with this? Caulk it up it weird scheduling if you’d like but hopefully this gets cured with a dose of a Vinny-less deadBOLT team and trip to play the Fishsticks.

  15. I see Krundle may have taken up the real national pastime. It’s 90 minutes to face-off and the WOOHOO Train is jumping. JLPens . . . are you out there? FAST EDDIE’S brew better work or we’re going to have a spillage and breakage before the the ‘NING game!

  16. So that girl is just trying to figure-out where she put her ball-marker? ;o)

  17. The only thing that stops this from being one of the best times of the year is if you are one of the teams that have already been eliminated.
A win in today’s game and we are in and at the same time we shut out Florida.
Then all those wiener-schnizel’s fans especially from Philadelphia will be talking about us tanking by resting Fluery, Malkin, and/or Crosby so we get the right matchup.
Florida is going to come out with all guns blazing and if the Penguins handle the initial storm it’s all over. If Florida doesn’t come out hitting anything that moves at the very least Jacques Martin will be fired.

Let’s go Penguins – just do it.

  18. Besides the WIN let’s hope that Geno gets on the scoreboard with about 5 points. I’d hate to see him lead the scoring race all season and then blow it in these last games. Phil Krundle looks to be enjoying himself!
