Was Tocchet prepping the deadBOLTS for Ovechkin?

Dr Hook knows bad hockey and Knopka, Koci, Artyukhin aren’t names you associate with anything but bad Slap Shot type hockey… and if you think for one moment that last night’s Rick Tocchet warm-up for the Capitals didn’t have payback in mind – you just might be wrong.  Bruce Boudreau and George McPhee might

want to sit hide rest Alexander “the CLOWN” Ovechkin in Thursday’s game.

Ovechkin won’t like it but if he isn’t  ….

sat he’s liable to get his head knocked-off. Ovechkin played the CLOWN in his stick-fanning showboat routine and at the all-star game and whether anyone within the Capital’s OrganEYEzation admits it out right, or not – the deadBOLT players and especially Rick the Tocchet didn’t take to it very well.

This got so bad that the Capitals personally called the deadBOLTS to make excuses – claiming that OVIE didn’t mean anything by it. It other words… they claimed he was an IMMATURE KID just having some fun.

We all know in Hockeytahn that we’d never get such kid stuff from Malkin.  Malkin is THE MAN  in the middle, who plays both ends of the ice at a level deserving of this year’s  Lester B. Person Award. That’s the one voted on by the players… not the one voted by tons of ignoramus sports reporters some of which are more baseball fans.  Think of Bob (Larry) Smizik voting for someone and you get my point.

For Ovechkin… he might make some advertising money off his stick waiving stunt if he wasn’t one of the ugliest athletes ever…

…. and, that’s like in all-time. For more on FUGLY?  Looking for attractive people? Don’t go to…     This guy actually has a clothing line and is a front for a WASH DC beauty shop. LOL.  Go figure, eh?  I’m thinking he plays and it’s one-more lost tooth.

This is DR Hook… carry on

  1. Dr. Hook says: “For Ovechkin… he might make some advertising money off his stick waiving stunt if he wasn’t one of the ugliest athletes ever…”

Have you actually looked in the mirror lately? I didn’t think so…

  2. elebeck says: “The worst thing with Ovechkin’s “burning stick” is that it was not a special goal. 185 times before the burning stick a player has scored 50 in a season. Ovechkin craves the attention and the antics on the ice are his wat of getting it. I for one am hoping Dr. Hook is correct and Tocceht sends in the GOONS.”

elebeck, you’re an idiot, and the Bolts did nothing at all, except lose again to the CAPS… And scoring your 50th goal is a significant milestone, regardless of how many times it has been done before… And don’t get me wrong, I think A.O.’s hot stick routine was lame as lame could be, but that doesn’t mean it hasn’t been totally blown out of proportion by the media and those fans who have an anti-Ovehckin agenda… Like 99% of the posters here…

  3. Jesselvis says: “I bet you’ll see the Caps play Alexander “there’s no team in” Ovechkin over 25 minutes in each of the next two games.”

I bet you’re wrong… Yep, you are wrong… The Ovechkin envy here is off the scale… LOL!!

  4. Kult Skater says: Maybe OV should take some shots at Artyukhin or Koci like he did with Malkin. Maybe they’ll fan their HOT fists!

Like Malkin did when A.O. was hitting him all over the ice? LOL!! He did nothing, just like the Bolts goons… Unlike some Pens players, Ovechkin doesn’t mind hitting or getting hit…

  6. This about coaching and their GM and owner also. I wonder if Bruce Boudreau can control him. Remember a season ago George McPhee and their coach at the time Glen Hanlon took it to the media claiming that was the only way to get his attention. When you look at Ted Leonsis all you have to do is read his ‘Ted’s Takes’ blog for a while and you can see he’s full of himself too. The fans have taken a beating from their own organization for years and years. Just throw money at the problems and now they are salary cap strapped and instead of admitting it at the trade deadline they claimed no one was available. LOL. They had no space to make a deal because of dumb decisions like for Nylander and Fedorov.

  7. I bet you’ll see the Caps play Alexander “there’s no team in” Ovechkin over 25 minutes in each of the next two games.

  8. It’s more than just the stick-waiving. In the Jan 2 game against Tampa a 7-4 win, with 6 minutes to go Ovechkin using his arm/elbow and speed to smash Jamie Heward’s head against the glass to the right of the Lightning net. Heward immediately dropped to the ice, was motionless for about 2 minutes and taken to the hospital. Ovechkin said he was sorry and he didn’t want to hit him that hard. He claimed that Heward turned at the last second. The game for all intensive purposes was out of reach and his elbow nails his head against the glass and it’s Heward’s fault. The NHL protects this guy and no one says much about it. As almost everyone here has agreed—– he’s a super player that plays under no control whatsoever. He’s all over the ice and many times plays like a chicken that just had his head cut-off. Which is different than players like Knopka by the way who seem to go out of their way to injure players. If it wasn’t for Malkin’s quick reaction to avoid Knopka’s elbow coming across ice it could be Malkin suffering the concussion.
If it ended right now we would be playing the Capitals. I say bring them on and bring them on healthy. No excuses.

  9. There’s maybe too much talk about Ovechkin’s SNUNT. But really that’s what is was. Ovechkin’s 50th? It was against a rookie goalie on a team that struggles to win games. Could you imagine if Marty Broduer took off his pads and went into a skit fanning them after breaking the all-time wins record how stupid that would look. Well, it’s the same with Ovechkin. He’s a fantastic player but really didn’t think this one out at all. Or, maybe he did think it out. It certainly was rehearsed although players asked to join in (like Mike Green) refused to do it.

  10. I wouldn’t put it passed Tocchet and with players such as Knopka and Koci(AHL lifers) and Artyukhin (who just hits people for fun) I wouldn’t put them passed running anyone who participated in the stick fanning. Maybe OV should take some shots at Artyukhin or Koci like he did with Malkin. Maybe they’ll fan their HOT fists!
