Pens Comeback Win Against Bs Most Meaningful of the Season

bruins There are few things more gratifying than erasing a four-goal lead against a hated rival on their own ice, then proceeding to go on to beat them. One thing that is better, though, is coming back to win against a team with a suffocating D by watching your game systematically dismantle theirs with a few small tweaks in the waning minutes. Let&# [...]

Black-and-Gold Update: Penguins Show Tons of Heart in Victory Over Philly

Kunitz Celebration They say confession is good for the soul. If so, I must confess here and now that this isn’t my favorite Penguins team. I think they’re too small. They lack defensive structure, especially in their own end. And coach Dan Bylsma seems rigidly resistant to making meaningful adjustments. Video: Frazer McLaren KO’s Dave Dziurzynski

pp0336 Here is a video of Toronto’s Frazer McLaren fighting Ottawa’s Dave Dziurzynski. McLaren KO’s Dziurzynski, but the scary part is what happens afterwards. Should the NHL ban fighting? Let’s take a quick look at how both sides have fared in this trade [...]

Penguins’ Defense Rests

No Vokoun Is it me, or did the Penguins’ 6-5 loss to Philadelphia Wednesday night look eerily familiar? It was almost as if we entered a space/time vortex and were watching a game from last season’s disastrous first-round playoff matchup. The game featured an all-too-familiar script. The Penguins rocketed from the starting gate to snatch a quick lead. [...]

Video: Malkin Hit Into Boards by Florida’s Gudbranson Doesn’t Return

Evgeni Malkin Evgeni Malkin got thrown into the boards by Florida’s Erik Gudbranson with 15 minutes left in the third Period and didn’t return.  It looked like he may have gotten whiplash. He also looked a little woozy as he headed to the locker room. The Pens went on to score two goals after he left and won the game 3-1.
